Soul Men Blues Brothers Show

 

The Soul Men Blues Brothers Tribute Band was formed in mid-2009 in response to a call for a Soul Rhythm and Blues review in South East Queensland. The band has presented their tribute show at many venues in the south east Queensland corner since.

The front line stars Greg Mulvihill as Jake Blues, a colourful character whose vocal strengths are well known around Brisbane and overseas. Teaming up with Greg is Ciaron Jackson as Elwood, who provides vocals and the hot harp licks synonymous with Elwood’s harmonica. To keep these two scallywags in line Natasha York as Sister Blues maintains the balance. Natasha possesses an incredible vocal range and sings everything from Aretha Franklin to Tina Turner with charm and elegance.

Team that vocal crew up with the phenomenal rhythm and horn sections and what you have is an energetic performance of red hot soul, rhythm and blues that sounds as good as the real thing.

Every member of The Soul Men know their music and what it takes to present it in the best possible way, using costumes that portray the characters of the original Blues Brothers movie as faithfully as possible.

The band performs their own arrangements of all the popular Blues Brothers numbers in a high octane musical experience with choreographed dancing and scripted jokes so the audience sees and hears a complete Blues Brothers package live.
