For one night only, Damien brings his Roy & Friends concert to Bundanoon Hotel, featuring the timeless music of Roy Orbison and the legendary artists connected to his legacy. This is not a standard concert. It is an up-close, personal evening of music and storytelling – one voice, one guitar, and one of Australia’s finest artists performing in an intimate dinner-concert setting.
Originally from County Kildare in Ireland, Damien is known for his remarkable voice, warmth, humour and natural connection with audiences. He continues to tour extensively across Australia and internationally, performing in theatres, concert halls, festivals and special events. Whether performing his own songs, Irish classics, or the music of Roy Orbison, Damien brings heart, honesty and world-class artistry to every performance.
The Experience
Guests will enjoy a beautifully curated two-course dinner with friends and settling in for two live acoustic sets from Damien Leith. Expect an atmosphere more like a private concert than a traditional show, with Damien sharing the stories behind the songs and performing some of the most iconic music of the past century. Expect classics including: “Oh, Pretty Woman” “Crying” “Only the Lonely” “Blue Bayou”. The evening will also celebrate songs connected to Roy Orbison’s friends, collaborators and musical circle, including George Harrison, Bob Dylan, k.d. lang, Linda Ronstadt and the Traveling Wilburys and more.
Damien’s connection to the Orbison songbook is genuine and deeply respected. His acclaimed album Roy – A Tribute to Roy Orbison was co-produced with Barbara Orbison, and he has worked closely with legendary songwriter Joe Melson, co-writer of “Crying”, “Only the Lonely” and “Blue Bayou”. “Very few voices excite me, but I fell in love with Damien’s voice when I heard it.” – Joe Melson. “Damien, I applaud you for doing a ‘Roy’ album!
